Asa Darnell is currently a Space Systems Design Engineer at MMA Design, LLC in Boulder, Colorado where he focuses on mechanical R&D for novel deployable spacecraft structures.
      Before joining the team at MMA, Asa graduated with his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering with an emphasis in BioAstronautics, the design of systems to support human space flight. With experience in academic, research, industrial, manufacturing, and corporate environments, Asa hopes to apply his background in mechanical engineering to further the spaceflight industry with dreams of reaching space one day himself.
     Asa also devotes a large portion of his time to outdoor exploration and expeditions such as mountaineering, SCUBA diving, ice climbing, backpacking, kayaking, and is a private airplane pilot.
